The Parish Food Pantry needs some additional drivers to help deliver food once a month to our site on Tuesdays from 11 AM to 2 PM. A pickup truck is necessary and the ability to move items into the center is also part of the job. This is a wonderful way to help the needy of our area. Did you know that... The annual Mass of Anointing and Healing was well attended with more than 100 people being anointed and enjoying a tasty reception after the Mass. Many thanks to all who participated in this beautiful Mass and many thanks for those who organized this liturgical event.
Did you know that... The St. Anne Society had a wonderful meeting with Kevin O'Hara, guest speaker at June's monthly meeting....and there were more than fifty people who attended! What a great turn out! A fun filled memory time of Kevin's years of growing up in Pittsfield was enjoyed by all. The St. Anne's Society hopes you can attend future meetings. It's that time again... time for the annual Polish Picnic and you're invited! Please join us on Sunday, July 16th from 12 noon to 6 PM on the parish grounds at St. Joseph Church, 414 North St., Pittsfield, MA. Just like past years...Free Admission! Please bring your lawn chair and dancing shoes. We are happy to announce that once again for your listening pleasure “The Rymanowski Brothers” will perform from 1 PM to 6 PM. HOT FOOD (Polish Food) available at noon. Polish Food includes kielbasa, pierogi, golumbki, kapusta. Also available at 12 Noon ... American food which includes hot dogs, hamburgers, and desserts. PLEASE NOTE -----FROZEN POLISH FOOD IS AVAILABLE BEGINNING AT 9 AM and it usually sells out quick! Hope to see you there! All are welcome to attend!
The Roman Catholic Diocese of Springfield, MA has an opportunity for an Associate Director of Elementary Faith Formation who will be responsible to develop, promote and support faith formation programs for children grades K-6, which includes Baptismal preparation, First Communion and First Reconciliation Preparation, Vacation Bible School, and Elementary Catechist Formation. The Associate Director serves as a resource to the parish elementary faith formation leadership and maintains a variety of relationships including representing the Diocese as a member of NECDDRE and other committees. This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology, Religious Education or its equivalent and a minimum of five (5) years of related experience in a parish catechetical role. The individual must also possess an extensive understanding of the teaching and traditions of the Catholic Church and have a sound working knowledge of the Catholic faith and Church hierarchy. Also looking for an Associate Director of Faith Formation who will be responsible to develop, promote and support adult faith formation programs which include adult confirmation, evangelization and adult baptismal preparation for parishes within the Springfield Diocese. Creating on- going opportunities beyond confirmation as well as active programs to attract adults to discern and apply their talents in the parish community. This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology, Religious Education or its equivalent and a minimum of ten (10) years of related experience in a leadership role as a youth minister or catechetical leader. The individual must also possess an extensive understanding of the teaching and traditions of the Catholic Church and have a sound working knowledge of the Catholic faith and church hierarchy.
