View the before-and after- portions of the glass depicting Jesus, the Blessed Mother and St. Joseph. Some of the more interesting revelations from the visit included:
· The windows were from the pre -Tiffany era, near the end of the Civil War.
· The windows were flow soldered over all of the caning, not just the joints. This process likely resulted in the longevity of the windows.
· The windows are being refurbished using the same technique and, if history is any predictor, the stained glass should last for another one hundred plus years.
Expect the windows to be returned to their place above the altar after Easter!
